My latest (mis)use of LEDS.  I have two CFL lamps in the ceiling of my darkroom, to turn them into safelights a ring of eight red SUPERFLUX leds was put inside the lampholder.  This gives a pleasant diffused safelight which is also very bright, you can read newsprint comfortably, and safe, I tried Ilford MG4 for 8 minutes with no effect.  It is also very neat and tidy.
